Many tax consultants & lawyers are using WMACCESS for self-reporting
In the 2nd quarter of 2010 WMACCESS was a contact point for research of tax-relevant information and in particular income data (cash and retained earnings) from investment funds for many tax consultants and lawyers. It was also relied on the historical interim profits offered by WMACCESS, which are retrospectively available till 1994 for the required data for a self-reporting of their clients.

A prize model, which is not not permanently binding and reasonable, is available with WMACCESS on-demand for tax consultants and lawyers.

CPB OPEN DAYS 2010
The CPB OPEN DAYS 2010 are over. More than 100 guests - many of them from our clients - however, also a large number of prospective customers, used the opportunity to get to know us (better) in an easy way in a pleasant atmosphere. The theme of the event, the current service portfolio of CPB SOFTWARE AG: SOLUTION+ offered enough topics for conversation with our experts and also with one or another market competitor. A successful event – friendly, unobstrusive, informative – according to the short summary of some customer opinions.

Organizational changes at CPB for even more focus on customers
CPB SOFTWARE AG separates from its present subsidiaries in Slovakia and in Bulgaria in order to be able to concentrate in future even more on its strengths and the successful core products and services.

Besides, the previous CPB SOFTWARE (SLOVAKIA) s.r.o. goes within the scope of an MBO effective from 1st of July, 2010 to the local management and will further support the present AMS customers in the usual quality but under a new name - Finamis s.r.o.

However, CPB SOFTWARE (BULGARIA) Ltd will be closed in the course of the summer. Besides, it will be offered to some long-standing employees to become active in future directly on site for CPB SOFTWARE (AUSTRIA) LTD or CPB SOFTWARE (GERMANY) LTD.

The board of directors of the CPB SOFTWARE AG is still persuaded to be able to guarantee with these measures to focus more on the important customers in the German-speaking area and to create conditions for a successful further development of the company.

Dr. Christian Büttner appointed to the new chairman of the board
The supervisory board of CPB SOFTWARE AG was newly appointed at an extraordinary general meeting. The best possible combination of banking, legal, economic & tax know-how in the supervisory board can be now incorporated in the company with Dr. Christian Büttner, consultant as a chairman, Dr. Thomas Schirmer, lawyer and partner at Binder Grösswang as a deputy and Dr. William Frischler, entrepreneur.

For the first time CPB SOFTWARE organises an OPEN DAY at the CPB SOFTWARE head office in Vienna. We would like to give everyone, interested in the Austrian and international financial market, the possibility to get to know our company with its experts and decision makers, become more familiar with their ideas and methods and all that will be mixed with culinary delicatessen. 2010 quarterly turnover reaches shortly € 4 m again
CPB SOFTWARE AG could also repeat the record values of both past years with a quarterly turnover of € 3,933 m in the first quarter of 2010. It is especially satisfactory that these turnovers originate almost exclusively from long-term customer contracts which shows extraordinary customer satisfaction with our services.

WMACCESS Product Presentation in Vienna
For the first time WMACCESS will be introduced to potential users in Austria. From this reason a WMACCESS event will take place on the 14 April from 9:00 to 11:00 at CPB SOFTWARE AG in Vienna. Product Manager Steffen Busch is going to give the product presentation.

Report IRIS 2010
The international legal informatics law symposium (IRIS) 2010 took place in the centrally situated Juridicum in Salzburg from the 25th to the 27th of February, 2010 under the direction of the university professor DDr. Erich Schweighofer. Different subjects like the intersection between IT and law were analysed and discussed within the scope of this symposium. Key words like E-Government, E-commerce, copyrights, E-justice, data protection and of course also IT Compliance were discussed extensively in workshops. A workshop was organised within the scope of the topic IT Compliance, where the juridical frames were prepared by the lawyers Dr. Barbist and Dr. Uitz von Binder, who have presented and explained which legal standards are to be used. Mr. Mag. Schatz from the audit firm KPMG has introduced afterwards a procedure model for the IT Compliance by which it can be guaranteed that Compliance relevant processes can be also checked with accordingly effective controls. Further practical aspects of the IT Compliance were presented by Mag. Eder-Dianitsch from CPB SOFTWARE AG. The thematic preparation, starting from the legal fundamentals through procedures models from analysts and auditors up to the practical application, has left a very good impression on the participants. The audience consisted predominant of lawyers and computer scientists from the authorities, public institutions and banks from Austria, but also represented from abroad. However, CPB SOFTWARE AG could prove its competence and experience in the area of IT Compliance by this invitation to this international approved symposium.

CPB reached the absolute sales record with EUR 17.5 Mio in 2009
In the past business year 2009 the group turnover of CPB SOFTWARE AG increased considerably about 12% from EUR 15.6 million to EUR 17.5 million. Successful projects in the area of final withholding taxes in Germany have mainly contributed to this unusual success and also the successful conversion of individual projects with Austrian customers.

CPB SOFTWARE AG sincerely thanks all customers for their trust also in the crisis year 2009 and looks forward to many new projects in the new business year 2010.

Compliments for SupportNet from auditors
Within the scope of the audits of our customers the focus is also on the services of CPB SOFTWARE which have been audited successfully each year by different famous auditing firms. A main role plays of course the Change management process which is developed exclusively and consistently at CPB SOFTWARE with our SupportNet Tool. SupportNet plays an essential and important role not only by the administration of customer inquiries and requirements, but it is also used for communication and documentation of all activities. With references to these audits we received from all auditors a very positive feedback about the functionality and use of SupportNet.
  • In particular because the whole communication - internal and external with the customer is realized trough SupportNet and important documents are added in each case as an upload
  • Furthermore, it was evaluated very positively that if necessary also the content of E-mails can be copied in the SupportNet case in order to obtain a complete documentation
  • This includes also manual entering of additional information from telephone communication in SupportNet
  • The linking of related cases was classified also as very important
  • Particularly it was also emphasized on the detailed and complete documentation of the workflow regarding the offers and offer acceptance.
Regarding this feedback special thanks goes of course to all, employee and customers who use the SupportNet so successfully.

Relaunch of the WMACCESS website
During the last weeks and months we have intensely worked on the content and visual restyling of the WMACCESS website. Today we are glad to be able to present you lots of new contents. An English homepage is currently still in planning and will be implemented at a later time.

One of the aims of our new website was among others to deliver, besides the integration of many additional images and comments to different WMACCESS modules, also more information about our optional additional services and products. Moreover in particular the monitoring of WM data and the supply of individual data feeds.

An extensive collection of frequently asked questions and related answers also belongs to the new contents of our revised homepage.

Mattias Mollenholt retires from CPB SOFTWARE (GERMANY) GMBH
Mattias Mollenholt cofounded FINATEC in 1998, established a strong and skilful team of analysts and programmers in the company with whom he made SECTRAS & WMACCESS ready for market and gained first customers. In late 2006 he was responsible for winning CPB SOFTWARE AG as the new co-shareholder to make the company prepared for future challenges.

Effective December 2009, Mattias Mollenholt decided to retired from his position as Director of CPB SOFTWARE (GERMANY) GmbH to face new responsibilities. CPB SOFTWARE AG expresses their thanks for the past contributions to the companies success and wishes Mattias Mollenholt all the best for his future!

All past responsibilities of Mattias Mollenholt have been taken over by Michael Gerlach.

Successful punch-evening in Vienna
On the 10th December the traditional CPB SOFTWARE christmas punch took place in the beautiful atrium of Palais Kinsky. Many of our customers and employees gladly accepted our invitation. At the beginning weather was a little bit rainy but happily rain stopped and we passed a nice evening and enjoyed hot wine punch, fried potatoes and little snacks. The evening was a complete success.

Professional conference "Asset management and assets and liabilities structure in 2009"
On the 25th of November, 2009 the professional conference "Asset management and assets and liabilities structure 2009” took place at Frankfurt School of Finance & management. This professional conference, which takes place every year, is an excellent forum for advisors and decision makers from banks and financial companies in the areas of private banking and wealth management. CPB Software AG was represented as an exhibitor and sponsor on site and thus about 100 participants could find out about our product solutions at our conference stand.

The professional conference was concentrated on four subject fields in the following order:
  • Analysis of the financial markets and asset classes
  • New framework conditions for asset management and consulting
  • Optimization of consulting processes and service concepts
  • Software and IT services at the interface to the customer consulting
In addition to the interesting presentations and the conversations at our conference stand it was again a good opportunity to strengthen our presence on the German market.

CPB and Cleverlance become partners for investment banking
Prague, 24. November 2009 – CPB SOFTWARE (SLOVAKIA) and the Czech Cleverlance Enterprise Solutions have agreed to collaborate in the area of investment banking. This cooperation will consist of joining the software systems of both companies including sales support in the Czech and Slovak republics.

The partnership stemmed from a renewal and replacement of the legacy system used in Raiffeisenbank with a more modern solution called the Clever Trading Solution (CTS), geared toward securities traders on Czech and foreign capital markets. The system will contain an interface with the Asset Management Suite (AMS) system of CPB SOFTWARE, which covers the area of Portfolio and Risk Management for the bank.

Tomáš Gavlas, Cleverlance’s Business Competence Manager: “The collaboration will enable us to expand our portfolio of investment banking products. Our customers will now be able to implement a comprehensive verified solution that will bring their clients new services, significantly facilitate the introduction of new products to the market and reduce operating and development costs.

16th WM customer forum 2009
On the 12th and 13th of November, 2009 the 16th customer forum took place in Frankfurt. At this professional exhibition, which occurs every year on the part of the WM group, CPB Software AG was represented as a partner for the first time with own conference stand.

On the eve of 12th of November there was an event in the Senckenberg Museum where conversations between the customers and partners took place in informal atmosphere. The professional exhibition itself happened on the 13th of November at Sheraton Frankfurt hotel under the motto "Continuity and innovation - with WM to the future"

The WM customer forum together with our conference stand was a good platform for interesting talks and a good opportunity to strengthen our presence on the German market.

Further turnover increases at CPB
The 3rd quarter of this year can be also completed with a turnover increase, so that CPB SOFTWARE AG has after 9 months already a total turnover of 12.6 Mio EUR . This means despite the crisis-ridden environment an especially gratifying increase of about 8% compared to the reference period of 2008.

New supervisory board for CPB SOFTWARE AG
In the course of a special general meeting of CPB SOFTWARE AG - after the successful MBO - the new supervisory board was appointed. Mr. Horst Thaler from Meerbusch close to Düsseldorf takes the chair, he will be supported by Mr. Rudolf Maschina from Klosterneuburg near Vienna and Mr. Richard Lernbass from Diex near Klagenfurt.

The new owners of CPB SOFTWARE AG are glad to have obtained exclusively distinguished entrepreneurs for these functions and would like to point also to the professionalism and independence of the company.

Successful AMS training
On the 22.09.2009 the first AMS customer workshop took place in the newly established training centre in Bratislava. The purpose of the product training was above all to improve the customer support by comprehensive product knowledge and thus to increase the customer satisfaction. A total of seven employees from three institutions took part in the half-day workshop in the new training centre. On the first training day the topics Transactions and Customer administration were covered. Additional 4 training days are planned in which further AMS functionalities will be introduced. The first feedback from the participants was quite positive and the workshop content was evaluated as very helpful and useful.

TAMBAS+ at EURAM Bank AG
On the 17th of September, 2009 the implementation of the Customer advisor module of TAMBAS+ was delivered successfully to the European American Investment Bank AG. The training of all involved employees could be completed with full satisfaction. Now with TAMBAS+ a long awaited and comprehensive solution is available for the efficient consulting service to the employees of the European American Investment Bank. TAMBAS+ fascinates with a new graphical interface, which allows a comprehensive customer overview based on the last updated TAMBAS data and is available in a German as well as in an English version.

TAMBAS – development support from Bulgaria
Since July 2009 the TAMBAS development team in Vienna is actively supported by additional RPG developers from Sofia for the implementation and further development of the TAMBAS product. A costly and careful selection and recruitment of suitable candidates which were employed especially for this job preceded the successful integration of the team from Sofia. These new employees have completed a more than 8-month training phase in which the technical and business topics were prepared and taught. This strengthening of the development team allows an even quicker and more flexible implementation of the customer requirements as well as functionality improvement and extension of our product TAMBAS. Of course we will continue to be responsible for keeping and further improving the usually high quality standards.

TAMBAS+ - the software future has arrived
Especially for the Customer Support TAMBAS+ opens up a new era for our customers. The main focus was to allow an intuitive operation of the software, similar to other well-known systems. With the Navigator - based on the customer information in TAMBAS (known as KIS) – a bank advisor gets access to all TAMBAS data in the usual manner. It is important to mention that all data are retrieved and presented in real time from TAMBAS. Furthermore a Wizard allows the bank advisor to place security orders for a customer (included in TAMBAS ORDER MANAGEMENT).

Needless to say that TAMBAS+ is multilingual and is currently available in German and in English language.

Half-year turnover reached new peak
With a turnvover of EUR 8.5 m at mid-year CPB SOFTWARE AG could not only achieve new record sales despite an ongoing difficult market environment but even enhance the result of the comparison period in 2008 about 13%. This results from our consistent customer orientation as well as our aim of long-lasting service agreements in each case.

Now three further well-known Austrian banks are using TAMBAS

All three renowned Austrian banks have introduced successfully the core banking system TAMBAS of CPB Software. The introduction phase was preceded by a challenging project and implementation phase for all three banks in which the necessary data were taken from the previous used old systems. Now, building on these data, the three banks can use the range of banking transaction functionalities provided by TAMBAS.

Dr. Hannes Leitgeb, Managing Director of Pfandbriefstelle der österreichischen Landes-Hypothekenbanken and Hypo Wohnbaubank AG as well as Manager of Hypo Kapitalanlage GmbH comments: "With TAMBAS we now have a professional and multiple proven banking system in use, which fully covers our demand for a software solution. Because of the need of our three banks, which are active in very special areas of the banking business, which perform different and execute partly complex transactions, to find a common software solution and to integrate it into our organizations, we have decided to invest in a new solution. The decision-making process for it and the next project implementation was an exciting challenge for all of us. In particular in the area of the bond issues and the swap deals we had high demands on the solution. Quarterly sales go beyond EUR 4 millions for the first time
In spite of overall bad business conditions, CPB SOFTWARE AG could rise its consolidated group turnover from EUR 3.9 millions in 2008 to EUR 4.1 millions. in the first quarter of the year. This equals to an increase of 6%.

CPB on the riskmanagement symposium in Bratislava
CPB SOFTWARE (SLOVAKIA) s.r.o. attended the symposium "riskmanagement within finance institutions" from 21st to 22nd April in Bratislava. CEO Vladimir Karásek illustrated in his talk, how the CPB products obviates the capital investment risks. The aim of the participation was to present the innovative product line oft the CPB SOFTWARE group to the attendant financial experts also in a hard business environment.

Dr Helmut Urban new chairman of the supervisory board
As decided on 16April in the course of the annual shareholder's meeting of CPB SOFTWARE AG, new chairman of the supervisory board will be Dr. Helmut Urban, CEO of Constantia Privatbank AKtiengesellschaft.

Shareholders as well as the company would like to express special thanks to Dr. Karl Arco. who hold this position since June 2000, for his excellent work regarding the development of the organisation from the local beginning to an European service provider.

New AMS customer in Bratislava
The Slovak brokerage company M Securities has signed the contract for implementation of AMS Software in March. From now on, we can welcome an additional customer, who would like to develop his business with the help of AMS. In addition to the current AMS software special adaptations, such as presentation and marketing of repo-products, transaction reporting, bonds issues, are also part of the contract.

CPB strengthens the Customer Care & Sales team in Vienna
Wolfgang Klaushofer who was responsible until now at our partner FAIT Internet Software GmbH for the distribution of Portfolio Illustrator has moved since 16th of April in the Viennese office of CPB SOFTWARE (AUSTRIA) GMBH. Mr. Klaushofer will be responsible in the Customer Care & Sales team primarily for the distribution of our Front Office products. Klaushofer: "With the new Front Office products CPB is excellently positioned to fulfil the requirements of the banks for a comprehensive and best possible customer service and support. I am glad about my new role and absolutely certain that together with our customers we will be successful in this exciting market segment."

CPB on the 2nd Financial Hube Day of the WM Group
As last year, CPB SOFTWARE AG represented again at the 2nd Financial Hube Day of the WM Group in Frankfurt. At our own booth we informed the participants about our acutal product portfolio as well as our forthcoming developments.

Several workshops underlined the 2day exhibition. Topics like regulation of financial markets, future-proof IT as well as questions according to tax law and Islamic Bancing were outlined.

CPB invited the visitors to a well attended workshop of Mr Werner Schäfer covering the topic "modern bond administration in unregulated markets". Mr Schäfer provided an insight into an internetbased platform which adminstrates and stores bonds centrally and optimated.

The aim of our presence at the 2nd Financial Hube Day in Frankfurt was to introduce the company as well as the range of products and to socialize especially in hard financial times.

Annual turnover in 2008 reaches record value of EUR 15.8 million
In spite of capital market caused partially considerable turnover decreases in the transaction dependent remuneration area, the CPB SOFTWARE AG could also register a new record turnover of EUR 15.8 million in the last year. Compared to the previous year value of EUR 14.7 million, this is an increase of 7.5% percent.

New office location in Sofia
Because of the expansion of the team in Bulgaria, we could move just before the end of the year into the new space in Sofia. Now 18 employees support from there on the one hand the development teams in Vienna, Miltenberg and Bratislava and on the other hand, supervise the local market.

Bank Vontobel starts successfully with TAMBAS and TIPAS
Since the 1st of January 2009 Bank Vontobel Österreich AG starts as scheduled the operations with TAMBAS and TIPAS.

Previously a total and fully automatic migration of all relevant and also historical master data and dynamic data from the old system banqpro/by HP took place which was in use as an application since 1998 at the bank.

The project start occurred after a comprehensive evaluation and a decision of the bank to replace banqpro/. The actual implementation time of the project was only 6 months. Due to the good preparation and the common process-accompanying quality control a parallel start of both solutions in the start-up phase was not taken into consideration.

The area of Business Process Outsourcing of CPB covers from the master data maintenance up to the execution of securities trades and corporate actions of wide area administration operations for the bank. Customers have direct (Internet) access to asset information via TIPAS.

According to the requirement "responsibility from a hand" Bank Vontobel together with a huge number of other Austrian banks profits with it in future also from the high automated and comprehensive complete solutions as well as from the extensive service offer of CPB SOFTWARE AG.

OXYS CAPITAL – New AMS client
CPB SOFTWARE (SLOVAKIA) signed implementation contract with new customer. It is new brokerage company, which is in the process of establishment. AMS will be used as core system for the keeping the positions of their clients and should have finer sub partition than their custody bank has. OXYS CAPITAL is going to order new special functions for Brokerage Company, what will extend the functional scope of AMS. Mass Trade and also Mass Portfolio is the biggest effort planned for this client. This client ordered also small part of our new web layer. They will use several new pages. The first delivery of AMS, current existing scope, is planned for January. This is also the evidence that AMS is prepared for the client implementation every time and current huge product development doesn’t interrupt potential speedy delivery for new client. This deal has also one more very important significance. Brokerage Company is new business area for CPB SOFTWARE in Slovakia.

Takeover of the Constantia Privatbank corporation
As you could have already informed youself from the media, on the last Friday Constantia Privatbank AG, our biggest shareholder, was taken over by a consortium consisting of the five biggest Austrian banks. We regret of course the events at Constantia Privatbank AG and hope that during the next weeks a positive solution with lasting effect will become apparent for all affected customers, employees and business partners.

At the same time we must point out that CPB SOFTWARE AG has besides Constantia Privatbank AG a strong shareholder group consisting of management and employees of our company. This group possesses currently 35% of the share capital and is thus a guarantor for the innovation power and independence of CPB SOFTWARE AG. CPB SOFTWARE AG group, which owns all rights to the software used by our customers, has grown significantly during the last years and supports currently more than 100 satisfied customers in 8 European countries. By this diversification the dependence of CPB SOFTWARE AG group has decreased significantly from turnovers of single customers.

We thank all our existing customers for the trust brought to us up till now and may assure them that we will also work in future in the best interest of all existing and prospective customers with full dedication on improving constanly the usually high quality of our products and services.

Increased interest to Internet WMACCESS in the first half-year of 2008
The increased interest on tax relevant securities data makes sure that by WMACCESS via Internet in the first half-year of 2008 there were clearly more requests in the areas of master standing data, incomes\ and the daily published tax identification numbers of investment funds as for example interim profits, share earnings or real estate profits. More and more audit and tax consulting companies use WMACCESS as a platform of information for their national and international business.

On 01.01.2009 the final withholding tax comes into force in Germany and for the tax correct treatment of income and corporate events (resp. disposal proceeds) further information will be provided by WERTPAPIER-MITTEILUNGEN. The VÖB-Service GmbH, with headquarters in Bonn, is a provider of software products and consultation services. It optimises the business processes of credit institutions, finance service providers and the public authorities. The product and service offer will be substantially extended for the VÖB customers by the products SECTRAS and WMACCESS. Despite of worse general conditions at the capital market, CPB SOFTWARE AG could increase its group turnover in the first half-year of 2008 in comparison to the year before with further 7% to 7.6 Mil. EUR. Hence, for the whole year it is expected for a first time to be able to exceed clearly the limit of 15.0 Mil. EUR.

Trade press report on CPB’s state of the art computer center
The recent expansion of CPB SOFTWARE AG’s computer center to be able to offer customers high availability solutions earned itself an in-depth article in the May edition of the respected Austrian IT trade journal "monitor." The article particularly highlighted the system’s extreme stability which, amongst other things, features the importance of two synchronous, mirrored storage systems located at separate sites, several kilometers apart. The connection between the two locations relies on the most modern technology currently available, notably dark fibre. The redundant design of the remaining infrastructure means that CPB can now boast one of the most modern computer centers in Austria at the service of banks and financial services providers.

The article in the trade journal „monitor“ proves yet again that CPB regularly invests in the upgrade and improvement of its products and services - all with the sole aim of achieving the greatest possible benefit for all customers and thereby cementing long-lasting partnerships.

1st financial hub day for the WM Group
On 12 and 13 March the 1st Financial Hub Day of the WM Group took place in the IHK industrial and commercial chamber in Frankfurt-on-Main. CPB, as exhibitor and silver sponsor, was represented at its own stand. This presence in the German financial center not only demonstrates our commitment but above all underpins the importance of the German market to CPB since it established a subsidiary south of Frankfurt. We are convinced that this event will also continue to increase the positive resonance CPB has received in Germany so far.

The Financial Hub Day was split into an investor and an emitter day, both of which were well attended, also by prominent visitors. The highlight of the event was a presentation on the first day by Prof. Dr. Thomas Biermann, Head of the Wildau Institute of Technology e.v. (WIT), on the concept of his initiative "Customer Relationship Controlling" which received great applause. Incidentally, many of the ideas convincingly presented there, as Prof. Biermann specifically pointed out, have already been implemented in our CRC solution.

Michael Gerlach additional member of the Board at Miltenberg
Mr. Michael Gerlach – previously a consultant at Citibank – has been appointed to the Board of Directors at CPB SOFTWARE (GERMANY) GMBH as of immediately and will be in charge of the product (including technical and specialized development, system support and quality assurance) and project areas.

This reinforcement of the German management level is a clear sign that the CPB SOFTWARE Group intends to further widen its existing position in the German market. Orders in connection with the withholding tax are the first important steps on the way to expanding the product portfolio and to increasing the customer base.

C-Quadrat already live for two months
Following a 6-month project implementation period, C-Quadrat went live on 2 November with a combined TAMBAS and TIPAS solution including a newly developed Weborder Tool. The systems are operated from CPS’s computer center for C-Quadrat Investment AG, the Fonds & Co Fondsanteilsvermittlungs AG as well as the Epicon Financial Services GmbH to manage the shadow depots of more than 10,000 private clients, sales partners’ commission calculations and institutional fund portfolios. The new C-Quadrat version, which replaces the old systems, offers a higher degree of automation, more transparency and is much easier to use for both employees and partners, making it an ideal medium for business expansion in the future.

Group Sales reach a record 14.8 million euros in 2007

CPB sends major reinforcement to Miltenberg and Sofia
Dietmar Eder-Dianitsch – who has been working for the CPB group for some time now, and was a consultant at Capgemini in the CEE region before – took over the management of CPB SOFTWARE (BULGARIA) LTD in October. In addition to being responsible for expanding internal programming support, Mr. Eder-Dianitsch will also build up the local customer base.

Oliver Kratz also represents excellent reinforcement to the team in Germany. Mr. Kratz will head the sales department and as a first step, inform all market members about what CPB SOFTWARE (GERMANY) GMBH can offer on the topic of withholding tax.

Equinet goes live with SECTRAS-STR
At the beginning of November, the Frankfurt-based investment bank Equinet AG successfully started production operation of the SECTRAS Securities Trading Reporting suite to implement MIFID and the corresponding financial market guidelines directive (FRUG). The solution is hosted by Equinet itself but can also be hosted at CPB’s computer center.

The XETRA order connection to the Vienna stock exchange that went into operation beginning of November supplements the efficient Straight Through Process (STP) already available in TAMBAS. The order routing definitions as well as the order execution type are carried out in the existing order routing management. Individual customization in terms of systematic hierarchies up to client/securities level ensures low maintenance of these control criteria.

CPB Vienna puts new, state of the art computer center into operation at a second location
To ensure that all security requirements are optimally met at all times CPB in Vienna has moved the productive computer center approx. 8.5 kilometers from the main location (and backup computer center). . The new location fulfills all the requirements such as round the clock video surveillance, prevention of unauthorized entry via a single entry access control system, optimal climate control, special break-in protection, independent power supply, and much more.

TAMBAS fulfills MIFID requirements in time
As required by Austrian law (WAG 2007; BGBl. Nr. 60/2007) the relevant MiFID (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) functionalities in TAMBAS were implemented as of 1 November 2007 for all customers according to their respective organizational requirements. Any future modifications to our customers‘ investment policies can easily be carried out thanks to the highly flexible structure. At the same time, reporting OTC trading via the TTR product (Transparent Trade Reporting) of the Vienna Börse AG was activated.

Raiffeisen Prague puts AMS with new functionalities into operation

DenizBank extends its relationship with CPB SOFTWARE AG

CPB SOFTWARE AG aquires PXP Slovakia s.r.o.
Further to the presence in Germany and Bulgaria, CPB SOFTWARE AG now also have a presence in Bratislava and Prague; given the 100% acquisition of PXP Slovakia. The prospective CPB Software (Slovakia) s.r.o. had a 2006 sales turnover of approximately EUR 1 million arising out of Asset Management products, in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria, which truly supplement CPB SOFTWARE AG’s customer and product portfolio. CPB SOFTWARE AG’s headcount at the end of April 2007 reached 139, and its consolidated group sales turnover is expected to be almost EUR 15 million.

Quarterly sales turnover sets new record at EUR 3.5 million
CPB SOFTWARE AG was able to raise its Q1 2007 sales turnover to EUR 3.476 million, making it a YOY increase of 39%. CPB SOFTWARE AG acquires Finatec AG based in Miltenberg near Frankfurt
In its first major expansion move into other markets, CPB SOFTWARE AG acquired Finatec Financial Software Solutions AG; based in Miltenberg near Frankfurt, in addition to the Bulgarian subsidiary; Finatec Bulgaria Ltd.

This enables CPB SOFTWARE AG direct access to additional products like SECTRAS (a comprehensive securities’ back office system), WM-Access (an in-house and web tool for retrieval of data originating from the German National Numbering Agency; Wertpapier Mitteilungen), local know how pertaining to German taxes®ulatory reporting, and additional numerous clients like the Citibank Privatkunden AG.

The renamed CPB Software (Germany) GmbH has a current headcount of 35, which includes that from its Bulgarian operations in Sofia and achieved a sales turnover of EUR 3 million in 2006.

The CPB SOFTWARE AG Product Management Team is at the heart of every software change or update due to its expert knowledge of all banking areas.

From the beginning of September Harald Kästner, who has had many years of experience in the Raiffeisen and Volksbank sector, will enforce our team first and foremost as a loans specialist. As of October, further additions are Walter Willroider, formerly at Reuters in Austria and responsible for RPMS, and Leona Falb, previously with SDS in the test management for GEOS.

Furthermore, from September Michael Meixner will enhance the competence of the computer center with his expertise as a security administrator.

There are now a total of 75 employees serving our clients – ensuring that they receive the highest quality in customer care.

Another record turnover for CPB in the first half of 2006
In the first half of this year CPB SOFTWARE AG once again increased its sales turnover, up 28% to €4.7 million compared to the previous year. The increase of approximately € 1 million is mainly due to the expansion of business with existing satisfied customers. Significant growth from new clients is additionally expected in the second half of the year.

EURAM Bank goes live
EURAM Bank AG went live with TAMBAS and TIPAS as planned on July 3rd 2006. The last day of operation with the old system Midas took place on 30th July 2006. During the weekend all relevant data was migrated from the old system to TAMBAS and TIPAS. Both solutions were ready for business by Monday morning.

Due to the utterly smooth implementation, the preliminary tests and the growing confidence in CPB SOFTWARE AG and its solutions, EURAM Bank even decided to dispense with operating the old system parallel to TAMBAS.

Implementation at Euram Bank makes progress
In January 2006, following a detailed evaluation of possible systems, EURAM Bank AG, a Vienna-based institute specializing in asset management, chose CPB SOFTWARE AG’s proven solutions.

First, EURAM Bank will install the TAMBAS and TIPAS applications, both already well established in the market, at CPB SOFTWARE AG’s computer center as a step towards completely replacing Midas, including Touch of Finance, both solutions by the British company Misys.

EURAM Bank AG plans to go live with the new solution in July 2007.

We’ve improved the first level online support for our clients yet again. The general search function has been expanded. The search criteria have been changed to make a search based on V = person in charge, C = current user, A = subscription user, D = delegation user possible. Now you’ll see a list of all employees you can select by employee code. In the mailing subject field the sequence of the individual tickets was changed to improve the way all emails to the tickets are collected in your mailbox.
